Affiliate links, reader tips and a newsletter. Here's how each one works.
This site is free to read and has no paywall. It pays for itself in three ways.
Affiliate links
Some links to booking sites and tour operators are affiliate links. If you click one and make a booking, the company pays me a small commission. The price you pay is the same as if you'd gone to the site directly. Affiliate links are marked with a yellow edge in the text, and stories that contain them say so at the top.
No company pays to be mentioned in a story, and recommendations are based on places I've stayed or services I've used myself.
Reader tips
If a story helped you, you can leave a tip through the button at the end of each story. It's entirely optional.
Newsletter
The newsletter is free. I don't sell or share subscriber email addresses.
